Leviathan of deep

Well, stopped in on Mathew's art class yesterday, "on the way back to class" from returning a book from the library. He was quite surprised, and we talked for awhile, until Ms.Irrera noticed me and told me to work. So I stayed and worked...was my study hall anyway.
Asked Matt to name a mythological creature, and this is what he asked.
Ball point pen on a sheet of folded construction-type art paper, then scanned and CGed (in class^^;; yet to get the time to set up Photoshop on my own compy...);;
The smudge tool wasn't working today, tho...=\ was taking a minute for each smudge...so the background isn't all what I wanted it to be. Oh well...looks kinda oceany, right?^^;
